Student Wellbeing

Wellbeing is a priority at East Wanneroo. Students from kindy to year 6 are explicitly taught positive wellbeing strategies through the ‘You Can Do It’ program. Resilience, persistence, confidence, getting along and organisation are skills that all staff teach and reinforce on a daily basis. To further support wellbeing, we also employ a chaplain and school psychologist who work with those students who need extra support or a safe person to talk to.

To be effective in teaching our students, staff have to feel mentally safe and positive, therefore at East Wanneroo we have made staff wellbeing a priority. Through a range of strategies, we are working together to achieve the pillars of:
